The Live Recording Database (also known as LRDB) is as its name says a database for known RHCP & John Frusciante live recordings. Our aim is to gather as much info as possible for individual live recordings we heard about, so people and collectors of live music can check the database and see "what's out there". In fact our LRDB is a live recording guide for live music collectors.
Please take a few minutes to read through this short orientation, it will help you understand the function and the purpose of the database.
2007-04-15: We will have a major code update for the LRDB sometime soon. Stay tuned!-anton
Orientation
- The LRDB is not a tourography, only dates that we know were recorded will be listed.
- We list any recordings we know/heard about, Audio and Video. This doesn't mean we have them.
- You will find information about a recording in "Recording Notes", just below the setlist.
- Audio recordings we list are available in FLAC/CDR format. Recordings in mp3 format are only listed if there is no "lossless" recording/source available. Audio can either be AUD(=audience recording) or SBD(=soundboard, or radio recording).
- Video recordings are either listed as DVD or VHS. We will list VCD/MPEG/AVI or other lossy video only if there is no DVD available. Youtube videos or DigiCam/mobile phone videos will NOT be listed, because there is just too many of them out there and 95% of it is complete crap. Video can either be AMT(=amateur shot) or PRO(=professional shot, e.g. videos recorded from TV).
- Recordings missing at least one song are considered incomplete.
- Recordings not missing music/songs, maybe merely missing banter or the encore break are complete.
- If there is more than one recording for a show, we lable it AUD #2, AUD #3 and so on in case it is an audience audio recording. A good example for a show that has more than one recording is for instance this show - there are 3 audience audio recordings in existence(AUD #1 - AUD#3) as well as 2 DVD's (PRO #1 and AMT #1).
How to read the Recording Notes information?
